A Place for Togetherness

After 28 wonderful years, we —Annemieke and Rob —are ready to pass on this special place we’ve called home since 1997. Our two children grew up here, enjoying the freedom and space of rural living, all while being just 10 minutes from schools, shops, and daily conveniences.
Now, with our children starting new lives far away, it’s time for us to begin a new chapter too—closer to them and their growing families. As we open new doors, we’re offering someone else the chance to fall in love with this unique lifestyle property.

What We’ve Loved Most:

The sense of freedom, privacy and spaciousness that greets you the moment you walk in, wrapped in a sense of comfort and subtle luxury.
A chorus of birdlife—Tuis, Woodpigeons, Fantails, Bellbirds, Rosellas.
Ever-changing views of Kapiti Island, the Cook Strait, and the distant Kaikouras on the South Island.
A generous living area perfect for friends gatherings and entertaining.
Clean interior lines that create a calm and harmonious flow throughout the home.

And yet, we’ve never felt isolated

With the beach, local cafés in Paekākāriki and Raumati, and quick access to the highway for trips to Wellington or beyond, everything is within easy reach.
This is more than just a house—it’s a place where memories are made, where life feels balanced, and where every day begins with birdsong and a view.

Property Key Facts

The Farm

The farm encompasses around 33 acres located at the gateway to the Kapiti Coast above MacKay’s crossing.
The contour of the property is undulating, the lower gullies are primarily filled with regenerating native bush, while the upper slopes are utilized for grazing.
A permanent (!) creek runs through the property. Creek water is pumped by a windmill into a holding tank in the hills, providing a year-round supply for livestock and the garden.
Exotic trees have been planted to attract birds and bees, as well as to introduce vibrant autumn colours to the landscape.
The property is divided into 9 paddocks, each with its own water supply.
The orchard next to the house includes apple, pear, fig, plum, cherry, almond and feijoa trees. Note that most fruits are also very popular with the birds, especially with the eastern rosellas and native wood pigeons (kererū).
The land is presently utilized as an alpaca farm, with a topography well-suited for alpacas but also suitable for sheep and smaller cattle.
